Today I found out a very close family friend and an extremely gifted photography Ashley Maile has passed away. I’ve known Ashley since I can remember, he was there when I went to Russia with Funeral For A Friend in 2008 taking pictures for Kerrang! Magazine. A Russian soldier came over and ordered him to give him the camera memory card, all I can remember is him turning around, winking at me and quickly swopping it with a blank one. He was a truly great guy. Also he was there when I went to Brighton for my work experience with Rise To Remain. We went to his house before and he had these 2 beautiful cats and his house was so nice. It’s things like this that make me realise how lucky I am. I am going to miss you buddy, and your amazing photographs of some of my favourite bands. We had some good times man, hope you’re up there having a jokes time like you always did x
